CPD
Physiotherapists are required by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (PBA) to continually upgrade their professional knowledge and skills. The Australian Physiotherapy Council (APA) CPD program requires each member to complete a minimum of 20 hours of CPD every year. One hour of professional development activity can be recorded
as one hour of CPD.

In 2013 Health minister has approved a non-medical health professional prescribing pathway. This extended scope practice is following in the footsteps of the CSP who were given independent prescribing powers in July 2012

- Starting salary is $50.500 per annum for physiotherapists (€33,977.61). Senior salary may be up to $72,500 per annum (€48,779.74). Average salary is $61,000 per annum (€41,042.26).
- Standard working week in Australia is 38.5 hours and the average working week for a physiotherapist is 37.3 hours
- The top three regions for employment as a physiotherapist include NSW 33.2%, QLD 23.7% and VIC 21.3%
