How do you register?
Register through the Supreme Council of Health which “assesses the competency of healthcare practitioners seeking licence and registration in the state of Qatar”.
Initial online examination for registration is an online assessment which can be carried out in any of the 10,000 test centres in 164 countries.
Following initial registration if you wish to work in the private sector there’s a 7 day introductory training followed by a written and oral exam which cost $82 to complete. Once you pass this exam you are licensed to practise in the state of Qatar for 2 years. You may only repeat the exam 3 times.
Do I have to register?
Practising privately without licence is deemed a serious crime and is punishable by 3 years imprisonment or a fine of $10,000.
