It has been really busy here since my final year placement started on January. Time passes quickly if you really enjoy the particular area you were in! But anyway, let’s just begin with my first blog post in process of getting a job in Singapore!
One of my colleagues posted a message on the physiotherapy Facebook page three weeks ago. It said that there is a recruitment event coming up around late February or early March for allied healthcare professionals. The MOH Holdings is the Singaporean public healthcare recruitment company and their representatives would come to Dublin this year to give briefing sessions and interviews to interested applicants.
I thought this would be a great opportunity to gain some experiences in interviewing and to gain an insight into the lifestyle, public healthcare system and working conditions in Singapore. So I decided to send my cover letter and resume to MOH Holdings via email on 28/01/2014.
One week later (06/02/2014), I received an acknowledgement letter from the MOH Holdings and they requested for more documents in order to continue the application process:
These documents needed to be forwarded to MOH Holdings within one week for further assessment. The letter also provided some links and attachment with information regarding working and living in Singapore.

- Completed MOHH Application form (attached)
- A copy of English Resume
- Your Certificates and Results Transcript
- Testimonials (if any)
- Professional Membership (if any)
- A scanned copy of your photo ID or passport bio-data
These documents needed to be forwarded to MOH Holdings within one week for further assessment. The letter also provided some links and attachment with information regarding working and living in Singapore.

I did not take too much time to gather all the relevant documents as some of them were not applicable at that time. The MOHH Application form was not hard to complete either. However, I found myself spending most of the time updating and editing my resume and cover letter. I wanted my resume and cover letter to look visually better and hopefully they could catch the readers’ attention immediately.
It has been a week since the submission of the documents to MOH Holdings. I was surprised to hear from them that quickly! Today I receive an invitation letter to the MOH Holdings recruitment event! The event will take place at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dublin (formerly The Burlington Hotel) on 27/02/2014. They requested to bring originals and photocopies of the documents I have mentioned above.
So that is me with the update so far! If anyone has any comments please feel free to post them on here! Meanwhile, I reckon I should start preparing some questions and answers for the interview!
